George Harrison’s widow has submitted a planning application to build a yoga studio on the grounds of their enormous gothic mansion on the Berkshire border. Olivia Harrison has stayed living on the estate since her husband’s death in 2001.The 74-year-old has applied for the structure to be built in the gardens of Friar Park, a massive Victorian neo-Gothic mansion in the town of Henley-on-Thames. The American author and film producer is hoping to put up a contemporary glass structure which will double as both yoga studio and gym.George Harrison was famously the most spiritual member of The Beatles as he often practised Transcendental Meditation before later becoming involved with the Hare Krishna movement. Insiders told The Daily Mail that Olivia “clearly had his legacy in mind” when she decided to build the studio.
