The Beatles played there on February 12, 1964. Paul McCartney’s “Standing Stone” and “Liverpool Oratorio” both had their U.S. premieres there. Even the Beatles tribute band “1964” played there for several years. But there hasn’t been a Beatles event in New York’s Carnegie Hall in a few years.That’s about to change on March 5, 2016 when the Grammy-nominated band Liverpool Legends take the famed stage to re-create The Beatles’ historic Carnegie Hall concert.In 1964, Sid Bernstein produced The Beatles’ two performances at Carnegie, paving the way for their Shea Stadium concerts in subsequent years.
