Ringo Starr Adds Sheila E. To Album Guest List
The roster for Ringo Starr’s next album continues to grow. The latest to be added to the project is Sheila E., a three-time All Starr Band member who also worked with Prince and as a solo act. Starr posted a photo of himself and E. in the studio on his Facebook page, each flashing a peace sign.
E. joins a stellar list of guests on the album, including Beatles mate Paul McCartney, Starr’s brother-in-Law Joe Walsh, Peter Frampton, Van Dyke Parks, Eagles bassist Timothy B. Schmit, Eric Clapton bassist Nathan East, keyboardist Benmont Tench from Tom Petty’s Heartbreakers and All Starr Band member and Mr. Mister alumnus Richard Page.
There’s no word yet on when Starr’s album will be released or what it’s called. He’s taking the All Starrs on the road again this fall, starting with an eight-show residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on October 13.
