Love is a tumultuous thing. It’s never plain sailing, and every relationship is littered with ups and downs. There’s no doubt that John Lennon endured peaks and troughs with The Beatles quite easily.During his time as a full-time member and after he split from the group, Lennon’s view of the Fab Four was a constantly changing one. This is, in part, down to the undulating passages of time and the new viewpoints they offer. But some constants remained.During many post-Beatles conversations, Lennon was asked to critique and confirm certain songs written by the band and, in doing so, also shared many of his favourite songs from their extensive back catalogue.
