Former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr has expressed his admiration for the upcoming “Last” Beatles song, which was finalized with the help of artificial intelligence by Paul McCartney. The track, rumored to be the unreleased 1978 song ‘Now And Then,’ has received mixed reactions from fans.According to Starr, the use of AI technology in the song is limited to extracting John Lennon’s vocals from an old demo track. The rest of the song features authentic recordings from the time, including McCartney’s vocals and bass playing, Harrison on rhythm guitar, and Starr on drums. He emphasized that the final result is genuine and not a pretense.Starr described the song as beautiful and highlighted the collaborative effort of the original members of the Beatles. The band attempted to create the song in the 1990s using scraps of songs written by Lennon. McCartney approached Starr to work on the project again, leading to the re-recording of drums and backing vocals. Starr expressed the emotional significance of all four members being present in the song, as it represents their final collaboration.
