The family of a dad who was friends with the Beatles in their early days have paid tribute to him.

Dennis Littler, who grew up in Huyton, was actually in the first ever colour picture of the Fab Four – captured by Paul McCartney’s brother Mike in the early days of the band. Following Mr Littler’s death at the age of 84 on November 3, his son Simon has shared some memories of his late dad- including how he ended up friends with the Beatles.

Simon told the ECHO: “My dad was actually friends with Ian Harris, who was Paul McCartney’s cousin, and his mum was “Auntie Jin” who was actually named in a Beatles song.
