Despite divorcing his first spouse, John Lennon claimed he never would have done the same in his marriage to Yoko Ono. He didn’t see a reason to end their relationship legally, even after he and Ono split and were somewhat distant. He once stated why, even if they chose to live separate lives, they “probably would never bother” getting a divorce from one another.
The union between John Lennon and Yoko Ono started after his first divorce.
Lennon and Ono initially connected despite the fact that he was already married to his first wife, Cynthia Lennon, when they met at a London gallery where she was getting ready for an exhibition in November 1966 (according to Vogue).
