Dave Grohl, first with Nirvana and then with Foo Fighters, has been melting faces since the late 1980s. Grohl, however, had yet to meet everyone in the industry by 2002, including George Harrison’s son, Dhani Harrison.
When they first met, Grohl didn’t know who Dhani was. It’s a reprehensible act. Dhani resembled his father in appearance, but he had yet to achieve his own level of celebrity.
Grohl was fortunate in that he quickly recognized who he was speaking with; otherwise, he might not have received the surprise of his life.
The first time Dave Grohl met Dhani Harrison, the son of George Harrison, he didn’t recognize him.
In the year 2002, Grohl and Dhani met. Dave’s True Stories, Grohl’s blog, has a post about the meeting.
