PRAIRIETOWN — Beatles fans of all ages can walk down memory lane — and Abbey Road — at this annual festival this weekend.

“When I’m 64 Festival,” from noon-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, with seven local bands — including aa solo singer, who’s a recent Bethalto graduate— performing Beatles songs all at Fireman’s Park. Anyone can bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on the lawn at the free event.

“It’s really a unique event, and a lot of fun,” coordinator Paul Miller said. “We are anticipating close to a thousand people, and they come from all over.”

The festival is in its seventh year, taking place in Prairietown. People come from Edwardsville, Belleville, St. Louis, Springfield, Illinois and Missouri, and farther.
