Major Private Collector Partners With PledgeMusic To Launch Sale Of Extensive Music Memorabilia Collection | SAT Press Releases
Today PledgeMusic is proud to announce an exclusive music memorabilia auction campaign, launching with the sale of a Beatles-signed baseball from the group’s final show in 1966 at Candlestick Park in San Francisco.Just in time for the holidays, the campaign will launch with the sale of the Beatles baseball – the perfect gift idea for music lovers and rare item collectors. For a limited period of time, the price of the baseball will be reduced by $1,000 per day until sold. In lieu of a traditional auction house, the owner has tapped PledgeMusic as the platform for the sale of baseball, part of an extensive and historically meaningful collection, in order to target real music fans and collectors. The leaders in direct-to-fan platforms, PledgeMusic allows artists to get more personal with their fans, offering pledgers updates straight from the band and items not available anywhere else.In the video featured on the PledgeMusic campaign page, bidders can see the collection owner discussing the acquisition in 2005 of the one-of-a-kind baseball, as well as the story behind it. The original owner, a club manager in the 1960’s at Candlestick Park, was unable to get his sister tickets to the iconic performance and instead got the band to sign the ball as a gift to her. Uninterested in the gesture at the time, she (and the rest of the world) was unaware that this would be the group’s last-ever concert.
