Pattie Boyd’s photographs of Beatles, Eric Clapton go on show
Pattie Boyd, the original 1960s It girl, model, and muse to both George Harrison and Eric Clapton, is also renowned for her work behind the lens.An exhibition of her photographs, George, Eric and Me: A Personal Collection, is showing at The Beatles Story in Liverpool. (It coincides with the new Beatles film Eight Days a Week.) Boyd has been taking photographs since the 60s, using her privileged access to the rich, famous and talented to reveal them in intimate and unguarded moments.Detail of a Pattie Boyd self-portrait.The exhibition includes her images of a topless Harrison looking soulfully at the camera as he lies on a bed in India after two weeks of meditation; Clapton and Mick Jagger slumped on a hotel sofa the night before Live Aid; and John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr hanging out with the Maharishi.
