Neither Paul McCartney nor John Lennon stepped out of the womb with the ability to write ‘Let It Be’, and it even took years of dedication before they penned ‘I Want to Hold Your Hand’.Nevertheless, every song they wrote, even those that were never deemed good enough ever to see the light of day, got them a step closer to honing his craft. However, sentimentality can be a strange yet understandable beast, and McCartney still has a place in his heart for certain songs that are objectively substandard.
