50 years ago today (5/30/75), Paul McCartney & Wings released Venus and Mars -the highly anticipated follow-up to their commercial breakthrough, Band on the Run (1973). The record is framed by its title tracks—“Venus and Mars” and its reprise, which act as bookends and give the album a suite-like flow, especially in the first half.
