The Marie Selby Botanical Gardens will open a new exhibit honoring George Harrison called George Harrison: A Gardener’s Life.>>> STREAM ACTION NEWS JAX LIVE <<<The 2025 Jean & Alfred Goldstein Exhibition will reimagine Friar Park, an estate that was owned by Harrison in the UK. Once built in 1889, Harrison purchased the neglected land in 1970 with hopes of being able to revitalize the land. On the property is a Victorian mansion, lodges, and 32 acres of land.

Through this project with his wife Olivia, Harrison found a passion for gardening.

Harrison would later use Friar Park as the backdrop of his iconic 1970 album, All Things Must Pass.

Selby Gardens is reimagining some of the Friar Park gardens through botanical displays across its outdoor campus. In the Museum of Botany & the Arts, photos and art pieces will help tell the story of Friar Park and the growth it had because of Harrison.
