Changes are on the way for one of Liverpool’s most well known and dearly loved pubs – including a permanent tribute to an iconic Sir Paul McCartney moment. Plans have been submitted that could see a refurbishment and alterations carried out at the world famous Philharmonic Dining Rooms.The Philharmonic, located at the intersection between Hope Street and Hardman Street, was the first purpose-built Victorian public house to receive a Grade 1 listing when its designation was upgraded in February 2020. The ornate building was constructed in 1898 after being designed by Walter W Thomas for the Liverpool brewery Robert Cain & Sons.
