Former Beatle Ringo Starr (above) brings his All-Star Band to Humphrey’s Concerts by the Bay on Sept. 7. This year’s lineup of musicians performing with Starr includes Steve Lukather (Toto), Edgar Winter, Colin Hay (Men At Work), Warren Ham (Kansas, Toto), Hamish Stuart (Average White Band), and Gregg Bissonette, which means the night’s set list will be heavy with classic rock songs such as “Frankenstein,” “Hold The Line,” “Down Under” and “Pick Up The Pieces.” Although Starr released a new EP, “Crooked Boy,” earlier this year, no songs from the disc will make it to the stage this night. Instead, the bulk of the night’s set will be dedicated to Starr, with plenty of hits from both his solo and Beatles career, including sing-a-long favorites, “Yellow Submarine” and “With A Little Help From My Friends.” If you’ve ever wanted to see a Beatle in concert, this relatively intimate performance from Ringo and friends shouldn’t be passed up.
Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band: Saturday, Sept. 7 at Humphrey’s Concerts by the Bay, 2241 Shelter Island Drive. 8 p.m. $231. humphreysconcerts.com.
