As the band were taking the world by storm, the songwriting partnership of John Lennon and Paul McCartney became one of the most sacred bonds in sound, to the point that despite Harrison being a prolific writer himself, the songs he put forward that didn’t often fit the mould the band had shaped for themselves were dismissed.
