FORMER model Pattie Boyd is to sell letters from the time she was involved in a love triangle with George Harrison and Eric Clapton.Boyd, 79, met Harrison, the Beatles guitarist, on the set of the 1964 film A Hard Day’s Night and was married to him for more than a decade before she wed Clapton in 1979. The Pattie Boyd Collection includes a handwritten letter labelled “urgent” and sent in 1970 by Clapton to Boyd’s house in Henley, Friar Park, which she shared with Harrison.In the letter, Clapton asks her to clarify any romantic feelings, writing: “What I wish to ask you, is if you still love your husband, or if you have another lover?“If there is still a feeling in your heart for me… you must let me know!”It is expected to fetch up to £15,000. Clapton famously wrote about Boyd in his 1970 classic track Layla by Derek and the Dominos and his 1977 hit Wonderful Tonight.
