The video is a visual exploration of the space between dreaming and wakefulness, set to the 2022 audio mix, and was created with oil painted celluloid frames.Em Cooper, the director of the animated music video, spoke to Animation World Network about the making of the promo and the painstaking process of painting 1300+ film cells individually. “In my work, I’ve always been interested in using paint to evoke thought, or subjective experience – the way things flow inside your mind. So, for me this song, which sways between the inner world of sleep and the outer world of waking, was a thrilling and beautiful opportunity.”
