Taken in tandem with his second contribution to the record, the iconic ‘Here Comes the Sun’, it is regarded as the turning point in his career as a composer for The Beatles of the same standing as the McCartney-Lennon partnership. The composition is so good that the rest of the band and their producer, George Martin, heaped praise on Harrison, with the notoriously critical frontman John Lennon going on to deem it the best moment on Abbey Road.
