But he was also an incredible cinephile, and when the financial backer of Monty Python’s The Life Of Brian pulled out, George Harrison stepped in to save it.In a way, the move was a long time coming. Known for his rich sense of humour and dry Scouse wit, George Harrison’s acerbic one-lingers had peppered the Beatles’ career. Turning solo, he became friends with the Monty Python comedic circle, in particular developing a close relationship with Eric Idle.
