He was the unique and stylish guitarist who stood behind John Lennon and Paul McCartney as the group’s principal songwriters, ready to harmonise at the drop of a hat. However, by 1969, things had changed, and Harrison was no longer happy to play second fiddle to the dominating duo. He had enjoyed a taste of his own success, and a future free from the burden of genius bandmates beckoned.
