In 1971, George Harrison helped organize the Concert for Bangladesh to collect funds for Bangladesh’s humanitarian crisis. The star-studded benefit concert’s purpose was to support relief efforts. Harrison also hoped that the shows would bring about more modest changes. Eric Clapton, a concert performer, was heavily addicted to heroin at the time. They worked together on music and respected each other’s creativity. However, their friendship ran into trouble in the 1970s when Clapton fell in love with Harrison’s wife Mr. Pattie Boyd While she was still dating Harrison, Clapton wrote songs about Boyd and even told him he loved his wife.
