The songs of George Harrison don’t sound like Eddie Money’s. Regardless, George had mixed feelings about Money, offering both praise and criticism. Some of George’s songs didn’t appeal to him, and Michael Jackson agreed.

Why did George Harrison want to see Eddie Money on television singing songs?

George Harrison discussed money in a 1979 interview, according to George Harrison on George Harrison: Interviews and Encounters. “A friend of mine said his name was Eddie Mahoney, but they dropped the ‘h’ and called him Eddie Money,” George explained. “‘Eddie Money’ is a good name, but it’s even better.”

George went on to explain why he was so fascinated by the name Money. “In fact, just because of his name, I’ve seen him on American television,” he said. “You should look into this guy, and I must say, I enjoyed him a lot while watching him on TV.” I like his attitude and he just looks good.”
