Paul McCartney needs no introduction. After all, he was a member of The Beatles, one of the most famous and beloved rock bands ever, and co-wrote some of the greatest songs of all time. (“Hey Jude,” anyone?) When the Fab Four split up, the Liverpool native didn’t miss a beat, forming a new band, Wings, and later going solo.

At age 79, McCartney shows no signs of slowing down today. He dropped a new solo album, McCartney III, in 2020, and released a bestselling book, The Lyrics: 1956 to the Present, in the fall of 2021. The Beatles are also in the news thanks to the release of a deluxe version of 1970’s Let It Be and of director Peter Jackson‘s long-awaited documentary, The Beatles: Get Back. The first episode of the three-part docuseries premieres Thanksgiving Day on Disney Plus, with the second and third installments arriving on Friday, Nov. 26 and Saturday, Nov. 27.
