Merseyside transported to the 1960s for Beatles film – Liverpool Echo
Filming is taking place around Merseyside for a new film about the life of former Beatles manager Brian Epstein.
Striking images show vintage cars and filming equipment set up in the Port Sunlight area of Wirral for the filming of Midas Man.
Midas Man will be directed by Jonas Åkerlund and will explore Epstein’s role in the 1960s cultural revolution as well as his unparalleled yet often unheralded influence on pop music across the globe.

Actor Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, known for starring in The Queens Gambit on Netflix, will play Brian Epstein in what will be the first feature film about his life.
The rising British actor has also starred in the BBC’s adaptation of Wolf Hall and Capri Award-winning historical drama series Medici.
The filming today at Port Sunlight was focussed on Hulme Hall, where The Beatles played their first concert after Ringo Starr replaced Pete Best as drummer.
