Beatles show kicks off 2015 Cultural Arts Series | Brainerd Dispatch
Capturing the sound, the energy and the excitement of the Fab Four, The Cavern Beat will be the first of 16 events that make up the Central Lakes Community Performing Arts Center’s Cultural Arts Series. Series Producer Patrick Spradlin announced the season, noting that it includes entertainment for virtually everyone’s tastes.
“We had Cavern Beat here about four years ago,” Spradlin said in a news release. “This talented band from Chicago wowed our audiences. They really do a tremendous job of recreating early Beatles music.”
Cavern Beat has been lauded as the country’s premier Beatles band, garnering praise from people such as Ray Johnson, owner of the Cavern Club in Liverpool, England, where the original Beatles got their start.
“The finest Beatles harmonies I have ever heard,” said Johnson. “The look, the sound, the attitude all absolutely spot on.”
The band appears at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 26 in the Chalberg Theatre.
