Julian Lennon gets surprise serenade to ‘Hey Jude’ | Page Six

The holiday spirit was in full swing at the Morrison Hotel Gallery’s party for photographer (and gallery co-owner) Timothy White at the Sunset Marquis in LA, where Julian Lennon got a surprise serenade from guests.We’re told that when Lennon, son of John Lennon and first wife Cynthia, walked into 1200 Bar, the piano player was playing “Hey Jude,” the song Paul McCartney wrote for him when his parents split.“The whole restaurant joined in and was singing to Julian,” says a guest. “He was just standing there with this look on his face. It was such a beautiful moment.”McCartney originally had the lyrics as “Hey Jules.”Billy Bob Thornton, Kathy Bates and Dwight Yoakam attended the bash.
