Paul McCartney previously teamed up with his daughters Stella and Mary to launch Meat Free Monday— a not-for-profit campaign that shows people the value of eating less meat by raising awareness of the environmental impact of meat consumption, preserving natural resources, and encouraging climate change. Also, the campaign suggests that people have at least one meat-free day every week.Since 1975 Paul McCartney has avoided eating meat as a vegetarian. The 74-year-old singer-songwriter of The Beatles fame now credits his vegan diet to his healthy lifestyle. Although vegetarians consume eggs and dairy, vegans avoid all animal byproducts.The vegan diet contains a variety of plant-based foods like fruits, vegetables, lentils, beans, nuts, seeds, quinoa, buckwheat, brown rice, and oatmeal. Vegans like Paul McCartney will exclude all types of animals from the diet, including fish, poultry, and meat.
