The Beatles: Eight Days A Week – The Touring Years, a new documentary directed by Oscar-winner Ron Howard, has just received a trailer. The film was picked up by Hulu, which will still give it a limited theatrical release, last month.Eight Days A Week centers on the Beatles‘ international tours, which were busy affairs that continued until 1966. That year, the group decided to quit touring and only made music in the studio for the rest of their career. This will be the first film for Hulu’s new documentary division. For Beatles fans, it will be interesting to see footage from their tours outside the U.S. and beyond Albert and David Maysles’ The Beatles: The First U.S. Visit.The film will be released in theaters by Abramorama, reports The Hollywood Reporter, which means it will be eligible for the Oscars. It will be streaming on September 17, the same day it hits theaters.
