Time for a brutal reality: sometimes, it’s impossible to believe that The Beatles could even work in a band together.That’s obviously not to say that their sound was somehow disjointed or out of place, because it would be a ludicrous thing to claim. But at the same time, you could argue that the prime reason they all went on to be massively successful solo artists was that they always wanted to branch off in their own distinct sonic directions.
