When The Beatles broke up, while it was to the chagrin of fans around the world, it opened up the door for different band members to pursue whatever kind of music their hearts desired.For John Lennon, this meant making music that was a lot more honest, as he wore his emotions quite evidently on his sleeve and wrote songs that were a very clear reflection of himself. Meanwhile, George Harrison was finally given the freedom to write whatever kind of music he came up with without having to worry about pushback from his fellow band members.
