John Lennon wasn’t afraid to speak his mind about The Beatles’ work. Especially after the band split in 1970, he took aim at a lot of the work they had produced, often criticising Paul’s songs, whether that was ‘Let it Be’, ‘Yesterday’ or the closing medley to ‘Abbey Road’.That criticism was also aimed at one of The Beatles’ most famous pieces of work, which was the result of their decision to stop touring and focus on innovation in the studio. In just eight years together as a band, The Beatles recorded thirteen studio albums – including seven from 1963 to 1966.
