Beatles Crocs Release Date | SneakerNews.com
Of course, the Beatles need no introduction in the studio, but their foremost non-musical contributions come from their extensive work on film. None sit more widely seen or widely-praised than their 1968 “Yellow Submarine,” a surrealist animated film that caught the Fab Four at arguably their most experimental. Its singular artistic vision makes it often-referenced in the band’s few collaborations, and as the Beatles enter the Crocs universe (or vice-versa), it’s in focus once again.;The two-pair collection fittingly starts with an adaptation of the titular “Yellow Submarine,” painting the Classic Clog in faithful replication of the submersible, replete with rear propellers, the four-headed periscope jutting out at the forefoot, and each of the band’s members peering out through “windows” in the midsole. The other edition, sporting a kaleidoscopic multicolor colorway, is more abstract in interpreting the film’s imagery. No main characters from the movie, neither Blue Meanie nor band member, appear on the shoe. Instead, this Crocs Classic Clog uses Yellow Submarine’s psychedelic art style for a mosaic of natural images across either shoe.
