The Boss and a Beatle made it to the Jon Bon Jovi MusiCares Person of the Year gala at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Friday, Feb. 2.Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney attended the event, which celebrated the career of Bon Jovi and marked the rocker’s philanthropic endeavors, including the the JBJ Soul Kitchen restaurants, which help feed the hungry.Springsteen, who’s mom Adele Springsteen passed away on Jan. 31, performed “Who Says you Can’t Go Home” and “The Promised Land” with Bon Jovi.”I want to thank my friend and my mentor Bruce Springsteen. Bruce and Pam’s mom passed two days ago,” said Bon Jovi, according to social media postings. “When I first got the news, he was already on the airplane on his way here. I certainly would’ve understood if he’d said that he couldn’t make it, but he wanted to be here tonight for MusiCares. He wanted to be here tonight for me, and I’m forever grateful to you.”
