“The Lennon Report,” a film about the events on the night John Lennon was killed, will be featured in three U.S. film festivals that begin in April, a film spokesman told Beatles Examiner. The movie will be featured in two showings at the upcoming Beverly Hills Film Festival on April 6 and April 9. It will then move to the East Coast for the Boston International Film Festival, then go back to the West Coast the following week for the Newport Beach Film Festival in California.Courtesy Francisco ProductionsThe film, directed by Jeremy Profe and starring Richard Kind, Evan Jonigkeit, Stef Dawson, David Zays and Devin Ratray, looks at the situation faced by medical personnel who had to attend to the mortally wounded John Lennon the night he was shot, including the fact some didn’t know it was Lennon who was their patient. It also looks at how the hospital had tried to keep the story quiet.
