Beatle’s sister, tribute group bring Fab Four songs to Carnegie Hall Saturday | Examiner.com
The Beatles played there on February 12, 1964. Two Paul McCartney classical works, “Standing Stone” and “Liverpool Oratorio” had their American premieres there both with McCartney in attendance. And various Beatles tribute bands, including 1964, the Fab Faux and the Fab Four, have played there several times over the past few years. But it’s been a while, perhaps since 2009 when Stella McCartney was given the Glamour Award there that a Beatle relative has been on the stage at Carnegie Hall. That will change Saturday when the Grammy-nominated band Liverpool Legends, introduced by George Harrison’s sister Louise, will take the famed stage to re-create the Beatles’ historic Carnegie Hall concert.
