John Lennon’s Girlfriend May Pang: George Harrison & Keith Richards Approved Of Love Affair | Vermilion County First
John Lennon‘s former girlfriend May Pang is receiving raves for her new documentary The Lost Weekend: A Love Story, which premiered on June 10th in New York at the Tribeca Film Festival.
The film, which is peppered with Pang’s legendary photos of Lennon during their affair between 1973 and 1975, spotlights the pairs relationship during Lennon and wife Yoko Ono‘s 16-month separation Among those appearing in the doc are photographer Bob Gruen, Apple Records manager Tony King, solo-Beatles drummer of choice Jim Keltner, along with John Lennon’s older son, Julian Lennon.
May Pang spoke to The New York Post about she and Lennon leaving New York in the fall of 1973 as a couple, recalling, “We went to L.A. together. You start knowing someone superficially. Then I fell in love with him. (Yoko) kept calling, though she said in ’74 she wanted a divorce — it was her third marriage — and he’d said ‘I’ll be a free man in six months.'”
