It represents £81.9m a year and sustains 2,335 jobs, according to a study by Liverpool John Moores University and the University of Liverpool.The “Beatles economy” includes the Cavern club where they played many early gigs, and the 110 bedroom Hard Day’s Night hotel opened by its owners. Then there is The Beatles Story on the Mersey waterfront, the Magical Mystery Tour of sites linked to the band, and the childhood homes of John Lennon and Paul McCartney.
