In As You Like It William Shakespeare described the seven ages of man but new research shows it is the Beatles, and not the Bard, who provide the best way to chart our progress through the different phases of life.Since Beatles songs were made available on Spotify, the music streaming service, Come Together has been the most popular song overall, but Spotify has now revealed the favourite Beatles number among each of seven age groups.As the groups get older, the changing choice of favourite track seems to tell a story as youthful positivity and romance are replaced first by stability, then by uncertainty and nostalgia before a final bout of happy hedonism.
