In the final year of his life, George Harrison faced many challenges. He traveled the globe, stopping at some of the best hospitals to see what cancer treatments they had to offer. George had to have lung cancer surgery first. He was then treated for a brain tumor in Switzerland by doctors.
He went on to Staten Island University Hospital in New York City for radiotherapy. Furthermore, tabloids published fabricated interviews claiming George was on the verge of death.
Despite everything, George, his family, and friends maintained their positive outlook. Even as his illness progressed, he never lost his wit, and he gradually began to accept the material world as it was. George even took the opportunity to pay a final visit to his ex-wife.
Months before his death, George Harrison paid a visit to his ex-wife Pattie Boyd.
