Glastonbury Festival 2022: Paul McCartney rumoured to join Billie Eilish and Kendrick Lamar on Worthy Farm lineup – Somerset Live
Paul McCartney is set to become Glastonbury’s oldest ever headliner this year, according to a report from the Sun, with a source describing his set as a “must-see”.
The 79-year-old is set to perform a week after his 80th birthday, meaning this year’s festival will feature its youngest and oldest ever headliner on the same weekend, with US pop sensation Billie Elish performing on the Friday.
It is believed that McCartney will take to the stage on Saturday, after Noel Gallagher and Haim have graced the world-famous Pyramid stage.
A source told the Sun: “Paul’s set will be an absolutely must-see. He is really excited for it and is determined to put on a hell of a show packed with all of the hits.”
“He is feeling really ready to get back out on the road in the US and then will be raring to tackle Glasto when he gets back.
