The Main Squeeze delivers a blissful rendition of John Lennon‘s “Jealous Guy” in a new video shared to the group’s YouTube page on Tuesday. Filmed from the quintet’s home in Los Angeles, CA, this cover of the 1971 Imagine track features saxophonist Grace Kelly.

Much like the band’s previous video release of “Dr. Funk“, The Main Squeeze filmed “Jealous Guy” from a sunroom with the rolling hills of L.A. painting the background. A quick drum fill from Reuben Gingrich signaled the start to the rest of the band. Superb keys work from Ben “Smiley” Silverstein and soulful guitar licks from Maximillian Newman gave this take on “Jealous Guy” a unique feel, far different from that recorded by Lennon at his home studio over 50 years ago.

Heartfelt vocals from Corey Frye sat atop a reliably-steady rhythm section guided by Gingrich and bassist Rob “Skywalker” Walker, and after the first chorus, Kelly appeared in the frame for her grand entrance. Throughout the rest of the cut, Frye and Kelly traded lines back and forth. This served as a call-and-response between the vocals and saxophone, building to the repeated titular refrain of “I’m just a jealous guy” from Frye to end the song.
