A Glasgow-based charity has been gifted a rare John Lennon and Yoko Ono single to auction off and raise valuable funds.

The strictly limited edition of 50 acetates of ‘Happy Xmas (War is Over)’, hand-cut at Abbey Road Studios, has been released in aid of UK grassroots music causes.

Scottish Women Inventing Music (SWIM) have been chosen by Yoko Ono and Sean Lennon as one of the beneficiaries to receive a copy of the extremely rare and collectable record.

Released on December 5 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the original recording in 1971, the records comes with a signed letter of authenticity from Sean Ono Lennon and an accompanying printed insert and numbered sleeve.
