Irish playwright Stephen Kennedy has written us today, January 8, 2016 with the news that his newest play, “Pete Best of the Beatles” will debut at the New Theatre in Temple Bar, Dublin, Ireland on February 8, 2016, and will run through February 13. The play, which dramatizes Pete’s “sacking” from the Beatles, has been a long time in the making. Stephen wrote in an email, “This play has taken me over two years to research and write. It examines the mystery of Pete’s firing from the greatest rock ’n’ roll group of all time – and it presents a fascinating insight into the early days of The Beatles and their wild nights in Liverpool and Hamburg.”
