For the very first time, veteran singer-songwriters Bob Dylan and Neil Young will share a stage as joint headliners at the British Summer Time festival in Hyde Park, London in 2019.

Young previously headlined the same festival in 2014. Previous headliners have included acts like The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, The Cure and Paul Simon.

The pair have previously shared a stage several times, a more notable recent example being 2016’s Desert Trip festival in Indio, California. They first shared the stage in 1976’s farewell concert to The Band, otherwise known as The Last Waltz. Both have expressed support and admiration for each other in songs and press statements.

Dylan, continuing his Never Ending Tour, is currently doing a run of shows at the Beacon Theater in New York which has seen the likes of Tom Waits, Jerry Seinfeld and Ringo Starr in its audiences. Dylan also recently made a rare TV appearance on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.”

Neil Young’s Santa Monica residence was recently destroyed in this year’s California wildfires. In October, Young also confirmed his marriage to actress/director Daryl Hannah, with whom he has been in a relationship since 2014.

Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time will take place on July 12, 2019 with tickets on sale this Friday at 9 a.m. via this website.
