The Beatles Fan Film: Here There & Everywhere on PledgeMusic
A Film made by Fans for Fans! Supported by The Cavern Club, The Beatles Story Museum, The Hard Days Night Hotel, The Fest For Beatles Fans, Abbey Road on the River and The British Beatles Fan Club
For the world of super fans . . . who live and breathe the FAB4 50 years on.
Here There And Everywhere (HTAE) is an 80-minute ‘love letter’ spanning the band’s history as seen through the eyes, felt through the hearts and as told through the memories of their fans . . . from those who organise the fan festivals and tribute concerts . . . the memorabilia collectors who amaze and delight with their rare and unseen photographs and films. . . The Club runners who keep the fans together, to the authors and artists who continue to breathe fresh life into the never-ending magical mystery tour.
HTAE pays homage to the global family, showcasing the contributions that fuel The Beatles’ eternal flame. HTAE is The Beatles story as told by the fans and an important part of The Beatles future archive legacy!
The film will feature never-before-seen, restored fan footage and photographs, providing a first-hand history about the opportunities created through the love of the band. Many artists and bands will pack HTAE with performances. Special licensed recordings will also be produced, featuring musicians and vocalists from around the world, creating a global Beatles soundtrack. The film will also feature a “surprise” finale, to be announced over the months ahead.
As part of the ongoing production the producers will also encourage artists and animators around the world to include their Beatles-inspired interludes in the film. But perhaps most importantly, if you fans have a story to tell, then get in touch and we will look to see if we can include you and your story in the film. This is a fans film, so amidst the array of interviews and performances we want to include you!
In terms of getting in touch with stories and content, our great friends here at PledgeMusic will be putting up a dropbox to manage that side of the project. Content can also be sent via https://wetransfer.com/ and we will give you the details for that on an update next week. In addition, there will be a Facebook page going live for the film next week, relaying ways to get in touch with the production. Whereas pledgers will be rewarded for helping us make this film, you don’t have to pledge to put content and ideas forward.
The film will launch at a number of iconic venues after release, with a TV network broadcast release at the conclusion of the project. The film will also be streamed on partner websites, with exclusive introduction interviews and extended excerpts at each partner site. Here There And Everywhere will also be shown at a number of film festivals, along with other staged releases, including preview theatre and launch screenings in the UK, USA and Europe; to be confirmed. Production starts in late February/early March, 2017.
Contributors to the Pledge campaign will receive a signed DVD of the movie before the launch. Those who pledge for the DVD offerings will also see their name on the film’s credits, if they pledge during the campaign. So yes, that’s right, your name will appear up in lights on the credits of this film.
There is also a more extensive Deluxe collector package available, plus preview, edit suite and launch cinema tickets.
Contributors will receive a thank you letter from the production team, acknowledging their help in creating this movie.
You can also sign up to receive screensaver freebies along the course of the production. Please click here to do that with no obligation. Fans that pledge will get these freebies sent to them as part of their pledge.
They will also be able to see updates and behind the scenes excerpts from the film via this campaign. In addition each pledger will be entered into a competition to receive prizes that the production will present from Gibson and Hofner. Updates on this will be given during the course of the production.
So, reserve your download or DVD copy of the film and be honoured in the film’s credits, while this campaign runs.
The Production Team
Simon Weitzman is the film’s director. He is the publisher, producer and author on three recent Beatles books (in partnership with Paul Skellett at Archivum Publications). Simon also has 18 years experience as a network TV director, working for BBC, ITV, Channels 4 & 5, Sky, HBO and Disney International Television Productions, producing over 300 network TV shows.
David L Simon is one of the executive producers. He launched and managed Disney International Television Productions, was head of DreamWorks Television Animation under Steven Spielberg, and was vice president of programming for Fox Television Stations. David is a lifelong Beatles fan and former boss to Simon Weitzman at Disney.
The second executive producer is Pete Nash, the legendary Chairman and magazine Editor of The British Beatles Fan Club magazine. He is one of the most respected Beatles experts in the world and a consummate interviewer.
The project is also controlled by two highly experienced financial planners, both of whom are lifelong Beatles fans.
In addition to the lead team, the film will include Jordan Runtagh, lifelong Beatles fan and award-winning journalist for Rolling Stone magazine and VH-1. He will conduct some of the US interviews on behalf of the production.
The team will be supported by a highly experienced network TV shoot and edit crew, including award winning cinematographers, renowned entertainment and documentary editors, with colourisation by an award winning film grading specialist and a well known photographic image restorer, who many of you know already! It will also be shot using ‘future proofed’ 4K production cameras, supplied by our friends at VMI International, one of broadcast television’s most trusted camera and lighting supplier.
“Part of this project is about creating a legacy fan archive, and as such we are in talks with our friends in Liverpool to give that a permanent home. The film is very much the beginning of a longer journey, and our longterm plan is that, off the back of the film, will be to put together an important learning resource at a major venue, open to existing and new fans to explore. Essentially the story of The Beatles as told by you guys, the fans. So your contribution to this film, is also one towards the future preservation of the story. And we have been very fortunate that so many great venues and people have come forward to unite and work together to make this all possible. Long may it continue.” – Simon Weitzman (Here There And Everywhere Film Director)
- The film will be produced by Seltaeb Enterprises Limited under Exclusive Licence from Fan Film Limited
- This film is an entirely independent production, made by and with fans, and is not authorised or associated with The Beatles or Apple Corps Ltd
