John Lennon would’ve turned 75 on October 9 of this year.
Four bullets fired on a New York sidewalk by a crazed fan in 1980 ended the life of the man whose music influenced a generation.
Mark Rashotte, owner of the Empire Theatre and Andy Forgie, the theatre’s promotional manager and well-known children’s entertainer were in the studio recording an album for their band, Photograph, when they first heard the news.
“We’re at the studio … in Hamilton and we took a little break and went to flip on Monday Night Football and Howard Cosell was on there talking about ‘he might be the most famous Beatle of them all, dead at 40’ and it was like ‘what?’,” said Rashotte,
