The Walker Art Gallery is renowned for its range and progressiveness. Over the years, since it opened in 1819, it has changed directions many times, always welcoming new talent, and encouraging young people to examine and appreciate art in its many forms. It houses one of England’s largest art collections. Many local schools take their pupils on educational visits.
To the Beatles fan, the retrospective of the photography of the late Lady Linda McCartney is a must. In light of the restrictions due to the 2020Pandemic, it is necessary to phone ahead regarding availability. This is an incredible collection of Linda’s never before published photographs, including The Beatles at work in the studios, and many other iconic images, as well as her private life with Paul and their children. The exhibit was curated by Paul and his daughters Mary and Stella. Entrance is free.
Entrance to The Walker Art Gallery is usually free, with charges only for specific showings.

Side Note:
The Guide Liverpool is a good source of information for this type of information, and they are constantly updating their tourism information. Their telephone number: 0151-702-0143. There you’ll also find details of local tour operators. Ask about the Beatles tour, where you can ride in a replica of John Lennon’s psychedelic Rolls Royce.
