A pair of sunglasses worn by John Lennon are up for auction in Ryedale.The glasses were restored by Lennon’s uncle Charlie after they were damaged in an argument.In a letter, sold along with the glasses, Charlie Lennon explains how the glasses were stamped on by John whilst arguing with someone on the Phone.£2900 was paid for the sunglasses£2900 was paid for the sunglasses Credit: ITV Tyne TeesJohn put the glasses in the bin, but his Uncle Charlie thought it was a waste of money so he retrieved and repaired them.Clothing worn by Jimmy Hendrix are also among the items up for grabs.
